Stormy innovates tradition since it uses the latest LED technology, but retains all the charm of a classic strobe. The light source is a strip of powerful white LEDs, which perfectly emulate a bright Xenon linear lamp. The flash effect is actually enhanced since the Stormy is equipped with a parabolic reflector, like a classic strobe, and does not project the light directly forwards like other LED strobes do. The frequency, duration and intensity of the pulse are fully digitally controlled, and these parameters are even independently adjustable, which is impossible with a xenon lamp strobe. Thanks to its highly sophisticated electronics, the light turns on and off instantly, creating the jerky movement illusion. The time the light is on (the pulse duration) may be extended as required. Thanks to the use of LEDs, the light intensity remains absolutely constant, without flickering effect. The Stormy also comes with RGBW LEDs, which are able to flash in any color: there is no more need for gels, which dramatically reduce the amount of light, or slow noisy unreliable scrollers. 144 x 7W Oslon Osram LEDs (5,700 K, 50,000 h) LED Power: pulsed mode 980W max, continuous mode 720W max Perfect emulation of a bright Xenon strobe linear lamp 42° beam aperture; 130° spatial diffusion Beam opening control by optional barndoors Total brightness: - 80,000 lm (Stormy); - 40,000 lm (Stormy CC) DMX 512 control channels: 3 (Stormy), 7 (Stormy CC) RGBW system (only Stormy CC) 0-100% adjustable dimmer Strobe pulse duration Strobe pulse rate Bracket adjustable on 360° POWER SUPPLIES AC power input Neutrik PowerCon TRUE1 (IP65) 100-240V 50-60Hz INPUT POWER 850 VA LAMP SOURCE 144 x 7W Oslon Osram LEDs LED Power: pulsed mode 980W max, continuous mode 720W max. When you look for a strobe, you look for power and the JDC1 from GLP delivers power in excess through a versatile and highly creative design, the likes of which has never been seen before. The JDC1 contains a traditional single tube element with an incredible clear, bright white output and combines that with a surrounding full face of RGB LED power, utilizing 1,440 high quality LED’s. The possibilities are endless as these two elements have independent control and can be used as separate pieces, or combined for stunning effects. Along with working as a powerful strobe light, both the tube and the full face sections can be run continuously for high output blinder and wash light effects, which never reduce output or have thermal cutouts. To give even more functionality, the RGB face can be divided into 12 separate ‘pixel’ sections, and additionally the bright white tube also can be divided into 12 sections and then the whole array can be fully pixel mapped through any standard controller. The JDC1 also features dynamic movement with a 16 bit, 190° tilt range, allowing you to place effects exactly where and when you want them to be – and get the most possible power and impact. The JDC1 is a whole new class of strobe that offers an incomparable feature set that goes way beyond the definition of a hybrid. The JDC1 is hybrid redefined. The LightStar™ fiber optic illuminator uses an innovative LED light engine comprised of Red, Green, Blue, and White LEDs for a broad spectrum of color choices as well as reducing the power draw and weight. DiCon Fiberoptics Inc. manufactures the LightStar™ illuminator to Main Light’s exact specifications and Main Light is the exclusive distributor for the LightStar™ illuminator. A key feature of the LED-powered LightStar™ is that it produces an output comparable to a fiber optic illuminator using a 150-watt metal halide light source. Watch the video demo of LightStar™ with a LightScape® fiber optic curtain. Electronic color management The LightStar™ illuminator eliminates the need for a traditional color wheel. Unlike many other fiber optic illuminators, LightStar™ is not limited to three or four colors on the wheel, rotating at a fixed speed. Capable of a wide selection of colors produced via the RGBW LED, instant color changes as well as smooth fades are possible. Creating a strong star effect no longer requires time to mix to white by using a DMX channel that brings up a pre-mixed cool white color. Built-in Strobe function and Dimming channel With the LightStar™'s built-in strobe function and separate dimming channel you can dim down and not lose your color mix plus it is equipped with a twinkle wheel for sparkling effects with star drops. The fiber port has a 30mm aperture, which can handle 900 points of fiber, enough to light one circuit of a 20' x 30' Main Light LightScape® fiber optic drapery. Full DMX capability The LightStar™ illuminator has full DMX capability for remote control; up to 30 units can be daisy chained via DMX control using five-pin XLR or Ethernet RJ-45 in-and-out connectors. Built-in DMX-based master-slave functionality allows one unit to control and synchronize the behavior of the other units, such as dimming and twinkling. LightStar™ can also operate in standalone mode as well as be controlled locally at the illuminator. The unit has a DIP switch to set the DMX address and it requires eight DMX channels for control, one per color and one each for the twinkle wheel; the strobe; the dimmer and a pre-mixed white color. BMFL FollowSpot LT – A compact, affordable solution for the larger arena. Further adding to the ground breaking RoboSpot system, the FollowSpot LT is designed for the larger venue that requires a longer throw distance, tighter beam and greater output power. The LT is the same size and weight as the standard BMFL FollowSpot, which is substantially smaller than other products of similar power. The proprietary optical design provides a 8:1 zoom ratio (1 - 8 degrees) and an output exceeding 455,000 lux at 5 metres. Like the standard BMFL FollowSpot, the LT can be operated as a manual, stand-alone follow spot using the Robe LightMaster-Side and LightMaster-Rear control kits. Similarly, the LT can be operated remotely using the Robe RoboSpot MDC remote follow spot system and is pre-wired for the Digital Camera. Light source 1700 W OSRAM Lok-it! HTI 1700/PS Light output 34.600 lm, 455.000 lx @ 5 m Zoom range 1° - 8° Effects CMY, 2 Colour wheels, Frost, Iris EMS™ - Electronic Motion Stabiliser The Robe EMS™ (Electronic Motion Stabiliser) system is a technology for exact Pan and Tilt movements and reduces vibrations from audio outputs, truss movement and sprung or suspended floors. It allows fast movement with instant stops by removing hysteresis resulting in no beam deviation or shake, therefore removing eye-catching distractions. It also enables our fixtures to work perfectly well as Follow Spots in combination with our RoboSpot™ System. REAP™ - Robe Ethernet Access Portal The Robe Ethernet Access Portal allows to access internal data from a networked fixture, viewed as a web page, addressable via the fixtures network IP. The portal provides full access to all the fixture's addressing, set-up and diagnostic functions, even when in DMX mode. This saves preparation time, allowing identification of the luminaire in the rig, as well as all diagnostic functions, without physical access to the luminaire. While the REAP™ interface doesn't replace multi-device automation workflow based on RDM, it provides a very convenient way of viewing and adjusting personality settings, with some icing on the cake like DMX capture, to see real DMX data as received by the device. GDTF – General Device Type Format The General Device Type Format was conceived and jointly developed by the GDTF development group, comprised of Vectorworks, MA Lighting, and Robe lighting. It creates a unified definition for the exchange of data for the operation of intelligent luminaries, such as moving lights, officially recognized as an open standard for the entertainment industry worldwide by DIN SPEC 15800. It provides a dependable way to adapt fixtures and devices in the lighting industry and sets a manufacturer-supported, unified standard. Therefore, customers/users of lighting control systems, CAD systems, and pre-visualizers benefit by knowing the tools they use to perform their job will work consistently and dependably. The file format is human readable and developed using open source formats. Luminaire manufacturers in the entertainment design, production, and performance industries are welcome to use this open-source technology. For more information, the GDTF builder and a database of GDTF fixture-files, please visit: WWW.GDTF-SHARE.COM This database provides all kind of fixtures with all relevant modes and firmware versions and is constantly growing. For our fixtures’ GDTF files, we have established a dedicated support email inbox: firstname.lastname@example.org QVGA Robe Touch Screen Display System The QVGA Robe touch screen display gives full access to all fixture setup and diagnostic functions and is very intuitive to navigate. It comes with battery backup for settings such as an address, even when the fixture is not connected to power, saving a lot of preparation time! It is equipped with a gyroscopic gravitation sensor for auto screen positioning, meaning it will always display the right way up, whether standing or being upside down in a flight case. Furthermore, it has an operation memory service log with RTC, stand-alone operation with editable programs and a built-in analyser for easy fault finding.
