The Axon Media Server, powered by the award-winning DL.2 graphics engine, provides you with all the cutting edge functions of the DL.2—including Collage Generator™ and Curved Surface Support—with the flexibility of choosing your own output device. Axon can feed video to DL.1s, LED panels or large format projectors. It’s the flexible solution for those who already have their own video display device, and want a world of unlimited image possibilities. Axon ships with more than 1,000 stock media clips and has 200 folders for custom media clips. Stock Content is locked down using the XP Embedded Operating System. That means all stock content is protected and consistent among all units. The XP Embedded O/S also protects Axon from drive corruption and O/S degradation over time. With the on-board content management software, you are able to move and manage the local media as well as any Axon or DL.2 on the local area network. Axon and DL.2 use the same graphics engine DMX protocol (a HUGE bonus when programming)—they operate the same way from a DMX console or via Art-Net. Collage™ software feature: Collage Generator™ This patent-pending feature allows multiple media servers to create seamless vertical, horizontal or central panoramic media projections controlled from a lighting console. Collage™ software also provides a method for increasing effective screen luminance. Use Axon at the Front of House area to preview content and programming for your show. Use it to pre-program DL.2 fixtures as the Axon protocol completely matches DL.2’s DMX protocol. Connect another live video source (camera, DVD player) to Axon using S-Video input. So many ways to deliver! System Content Management and Configuration software can remotely manage multiple Axon and DL.2 fixtures Supports importing of custom content including: 3D objects, media files, still images DMX512 and Art-Net support Royalty-free stock digital art collection featuring over 1000 lighting-optimized files. Collage Generator now supports any configuration up to 8x8 arrays. Make a horizontal, vertical or central panoramic projection and increase effective screen luminance. Most panoramas can be configured in under 25 minutes. Curved Surface Support Corrects for shape distortions when projecting onto surfaces that are not flat. Project Axon onto convex or concave cylinders, angular screens, spheres and disk-shaped surfaces. Control the amount of correction needed, as well as control the vertical and horizontal center points of the image. The SHOWBEAM™ 2.5 is a new dedicated automated wash luminaire with a revolutionary Twin Beam™ effect. The SHOWBEAM 2.5 features a jointly developed Philips MSR 2500-watt lamp source. A smooth field, soft-edge illumination is produced using a new radial lenticular homogenizing lens system that provides a signature look on stage. In addition, the dedicated wash light includes a user changeable fixed color wheel, a variable CTO, a full CMY color mixing system, and the ability to produce an 11-degree fixed hard-edge profile with fast color change and Electronic Strobe. The profile can be rapidly zoomed from 11 to 42 degrees. More than just a washlight, SHOWBEAM 2.5 offers users a revolutionary patent pending effect, the Twin Beam. In this effect, two discrete hard-edge beams exit the fixture on command, with variable control over the Twin Beam deviation and rotation speed — all with little brightness degradation. Users may vary the Twin Beam by adding incremental color using the CMY color mixing system. SHOWBEAM 2.5 also includes the renowned LED tracking system that encircles the lens, a feature that debuted with its SHOWGUN predecessor. Users may choose to use the LED tracking system alone or as a complementary ring of color to their set. SHOWGUN is High End System’s latest revolutionary automated lighting luminaire. SHOWGUN is shaping the future of lighting design using the current method of “radical rethinking” by acclaimed inventor Richard Belliveau and his talented research & development team. Every aspect of SHOWGUN has applied this central philosophy to its design, and the result is a fixture characterized by sheer, unbridled power, advanced features and unparalleled lighting design possibilities. SHOWGUN provides entertainment lighting design possibilities in three dimensions: first in the air with high-energy focused or soft edge beams; second with images projected on the stage surface, and third at the SHOWGUN fixture itself by utilizing an innovative LED Tracking System. A new patent pending optical design was at the forefront of the “radical rethinking”. This optical design incorporates a proprietary, optically accurate polymer microfresnel lens allowing SHOWGUN to produce a true focused hard-edge or a brilliant soft-edge combination, without the need for two separate fixture types. The true focused hard-edge allows SHOWGUN to project HES Litho images, while the soft-edge abilities exceed industry standards. Soft edge/hard edge “enabling” for SHOWGUN is easily accomplished from any lighting console. Distinctive and uncompromising, SHOWGUN is, in essence, a very large and powerful automated light that can project images, change and mix dichroic colors, and switch from hard-edge to soft-edge all within a compact system. SHOWGUN’s LED Tracking System forces a double take as a unique homogenously mixed RGB LED circular array that allows the user to either match the color of the main output beam, or to project a complementary color by mixing RGB values. Producing over 5000 lumens of output, the LED Tracking System works in tandem with SHOWGUN’s other features to redefine the rules of lighting design. Pushing the boundaries of technology, SHOWGUN’s main output uses a 2000 watt short arc metal halide lamp designed as a joint venture between Philips and High End Systems. The new “MSR 2000SA Gold” lamp uses a novel fast fit socket design that allows for a more compact reflector combination. Combining the high-performance lamp, advanced reflector and revolutionary optical design, SHOWGUN produces over 100,000 lumens of heart-pounding output that must be seen to be fully appreciated. SHOWGUN is at the vanguard of today’s lighting design revolution. Features Proprietary Short Arc Lamp and optics produce exceptional light output Variable soft-edge fully rotating, indexable lithos Variable iris Variable strobe, Electronic strobe Light BurstTM lamp boosting Zoom range from 9° – 18° Remote focus Full optical dimming and fade to black Innovative LED Tracking Ring produces over 5000 lumens of RGB color. SHOWPIX™, a combination high power LED wash light and programmable high intensity graphic image-displaying fixture, represents the first in HES’ new product line of Pixelation Luminaires™. SHOWPIX is another “radical rethinking” lighting product concept by acclaimed inventor and HES Chief Technology Officer Richard Belliveau and his research and development team. SHOWPIX is more than just an LED wash light on a moving yoke. Its 18-inch diameter head features a circular array of 127 homogenous 3-watt LEDs with an output of 24,000 RGB lumens. These pixels offer unlimited visual possibilities by projecting not just washes of color, but also displaying images and other eye-catching effects that transform the fixture head into a display device.   SHOWPIX is equipped with 411 stock content animations and patterns for lighting design. Users can easily upload their own files and images through the new HES Echo™ application, a software program offering content visualization, management and upload capabilities as well as RDM management features. Instantaneous conversion of many file formats automatically optimizes or “supercharges” the images and maps the files to the 127 LED pixels of SHOWPIX. The user can see this mapping displayed on their computer prior to uploading to the SHOWPIX.   SHOWPIX is controlled using a standard DMX lighting console. Many of SHOWPIX’s features allow for user creativity, including color mixing, rotation, scale, wipes, dissolves, transitions between layers, strobing and dimming. In addition, content can be mapped across numerous SHOWPIX fixtures to allow for full stage imagery using a software process called Pixellage™.* Another new feature, DMX Scratch™, allows a user to synchronize the frames of a media file to music during a show in real time. A user-selectable pixel mapping protocol also allows the user to have individual control of each of the 127 LEDs for some creative programming effects. In addition to creative benefits, SHOWPIX offers economic benefits. Because there are no lamps to replace, this also means there are no associated labor costs involved. There are also lower maintenance costs because of the fixture’s limited moving parts. This reduces the total cost of ownership as compared to traditional light fixtures. Mechanical Specifications.
